Sending Hate

- Most Dismal Swamp

“A dying world, striving to leave fertile soil to those who’ll come after the end of its future, is bound to tackle the question of who exactly will be the recipient of its ef orts, and what they will need... Children are drawn to a relentless activity of world-building. The world that surrounds them has barely any roots, but the child optimistically invests in the ability of their world-narration to keep everything from sinking back into the abyss.”

- Federico Campagna, Prophetic Culture: Recreation For Adolescents

It might be a time of monsters, but the new world isn't struggling to be born at all. It is elegantly moodboarded into reality by an insidious skulk of context creators, creative directors, reality hustlers, hypebeasts, community engineers. You will know them by the makeshift -cores and other stimming fancies that trickle down from their rabid consultancy, their presentation decks, their content stream, and now from their young cubs. These little grubs inherit such fertile soil, such responsibility.

There are elite kindergartens and crèches for nurturing these gifted kids, and why wouldn't there be? Hell, you'll be interning in one soon enough. So consider this your onboarding session: preparation for when these bastards start screaming at you about protocols, experience design, and guestlists.

Are you ready for that? A feral militia of context creators’ children, armed with a DIY splinternet stack and a reinforced belief in their multi-user shared hallucinations? You'd better be. Because this kind of inter-worldly dialogue, the kind that takes place between a dying world and a new world, needs a specially trained subject. Not just to sense but to make sense.

“Be as a fox, child. Always in the dark.” Such teachings stir these young minds to create contexts. The cunning fox can do this. Yes, these cute critters know the world well, and the dark even better. To know the world this well is not to simply survive it, but to play tricks with it.

So what kind of tricks will an elegantly radicalized and highly media-literate brat in a fox mask play? The umwelt of an impossible animal will make you yearn for the abyss.

‘Sending Hate’ documents the transition into the new world of monsters, and other eloquent ghouls. Psyop tutorials, minted lexicons, obscure insignia, and a militant tribe of revolting infants losing their shit is just the beginning.
